Women Empowerment
The RDO has formed 5600 Women Self Help Groups in the Nilgiris hills and is actively engaged in improving the quality of living of women. The women are given intensive training to enhance their earning capacity and are linked with various financial institutions for microcredit. Over a period of 10 years, more than Rs10 million has been invested in the Self Help Groups for various socio-economic activities.
