Childline 1098:
The Ministry of Women & Child development extends Childline 1098 services throughout India. The program is extended by a Mumbai based Nodal Agency Childline India Foundation. RDO is selected to serve in the Nilgiris with two sub-centers run by NAWA & SARAS.
Within a span of 18 months, RDO rescued 630 children and helped rehabilitate them.
The Child helpline helps resolve cases of sexual assault, marriage, begging, school dropouts, and depression among children in the district.
RDO is closely working with the Revenue, Police, and Education departments to help the children.
